But for one reason or another your views on climbing Silbury have gone from adamantly believing you had every right to do so (expressed on these pages and elsewhere) to no longer climbing it yourself and telling people that you prefer them also not to climb it. The reasons and influences for arriving at where you are now might be different to those of others (of likeminded thinking) but the fact that there’s been a change in attitude does, actually, come down to a growing consensus that such actions are unacceptable – whether advanced here by groups of people or elsewhere by individuals.
