Asking in the interests of fairness, is Bladup coming back?

I can understand the idea of a member getting a temporary suspension but I hope it doesn't mean a permanent ban? Hes added an awful lot of great photos to this site and, whatever your opinion happens to be on his point of view, some interesting debate. Just wondering.

I'd support his return, he has a lot to offer, if he can behave, and if others recognise his hot spot and don't poke it. ;)

I think when you push too hard for something and get it, you also lose something. ;)

Put him on probation mods. d:D

The Eds obviously have a difficult job overseeing what is and is not acceptable on community sites like this - where to draw the line. Paul may well have gone too far over that line for all I know. If not..... I've been checking out some of the obscure stuff he's put on here and I've got to take my hat off to the guy for where he's been and what he's seen. There must be so much practical knowledge in his head that it is bursting. It would be a crying shame to lose it. He's wildly passionate about stuff no-one I know outside of here gives a monkey's about.

On the other hand he's proved he can let that passion get the better of him and wind people up way above and beyond banter - people have got upset, and rightly so. However, to be fair, the reason I got into Cope was because he was, er, 'different' to everyone else and I would suggest there are quite a number of members, myself included, who've thought 'shouldn't have said that' after the event.

The question is could (should?) the TMA community be able to cope (no pun intended) with such mavericks where the good outweighs the bad.

Well said Mr G. There are few enough of us as there is without losing someone with Bladup's passion for the subject.

It takes a while to fit in with the ethos of a forum like this and Bladup was certainly doing that (if you compare his early postings with later ones). Be good to see him back but I'm not sure that he wants to return or if he's been (permanently) banned. Even if the latter the eds seem pretty tolerant to people who return... so long as they play nicely.

So, if you're reading this Mr and Mrs B, looks like there are enough peeps here that would like to see you again :-)

I have tried to not respond negatively to this thread, although it has been difficult. Now I will say this and then leave it alone:

As someone repeatedly on the receiving end of his unprovoked vitriol: "the most selfish person on here" because I don't have children, amongst other things, I personally think TMA is better without his paranoid, childish tantrums. He attacked quite a few very good contributors directly, not to mention posting bilge about how all Catholics are paedophiles. Any attempt at rational discussion where he disagreed was ultimately met with "I know best and because you disagree with me you're a horrible person".

Obviously it's up to the Eds, if he is even wanting to come back that is, but it wouldn't get my vote. He crossed the line into utterly offensive far too many times for me. Sorry to sound so unforgiving, but he was given so many chances by everyone.
