I've sent off a cheque for a copy of the book about him (they knocked off a few quid for me - which is my kind of style) rather than enriching paypal or Amazon any further.

I looked up Johns obit on the BBC which is permanently on the Last Word BBC website. It is good to know that his son looked him up years after his mother chose not to raise he boy with his real father about. He's a chip off the old block.
