Just from the pictures and plan it looks like the stones are from a very solid hut circle, the size would suggest that as well, if it's not the size and stones make it more likely to be the kerb of a robbed barrow, it's the old map thing where any circle of stones found is at first called a stone circle [in a way they are] but not a stone circle in our sense of the word, I'll be interested to know what you think when you get there though as i respect your knowledgable opinion Mr Watson:-), it's something for sure so anything old they've found is great.
I know it's difficult to give an opinion from a photo, but i'd say the stones are too big to be part of a hut circle, and not enough in number. when i get up there i'll get some measurements that'll hopefully show it a bit better than the current survey. if the snow ever shifts that is. the lane to it is blocked still.

I may well have gotten used to big stones like that in hut circles down here in Cornwall to be honest, but you never know, i think everywhere stoney would have had them it's just that they've lasted better tucked away down here, and i'd also had the thought of Geoff with tennis rackets sellotaped to his shoes:^*
