Yes that's right, they [OS maps] certainly have their faults but are still the best in the world, but the faults may explain the missing silbaby, it's one shapely mound [with the same angled slope as Silbury] for just dumped road material, I say try looking from midwinter until spring and you'll see it's form a lot better than in the summer [now would be the best time].

Has anyone looked at any larger scale maps of the area? Say, 1/2500? Or better still, the pre-National Grid 25" County Series? Be interesting to see if anything shows up on those.

Summer? Oh yes, I remember, isn't that when it gets hot and a big bright ball appears in the sky...or am I confusing this with my time spent in Egypt? Yep, that'll be it! :-)
