Just to say I really enjoyed this programme - it gave me new insights into the Middle Stone Age (Mesolithic) especially into the work done at the Star Carr site. The bit about the remains of the 'slipway' and woodworking skills was particularly fascinating.

Same here. I'm not much of a fan of Time Team, but Tony Robinson, more or less on his own, did a superb job. The section where they covered the established communities as opposed to the idea that it was all nomadic hunter gatherers was particulalrly fascinating as well.

ps: it was followed by an excellent documentary on Henry VII.
