They've seen the evidence, they know its there, i sent loads of them dvds, but as they cant take the credit they'll make damn sure no-one else does. Not that i'm looking for medals, but they want to bury it. When one of them says "dont push this any further" what does it tell you?
Why, if you aren't after personal kudos, don't you put your evidence into the public domain where everyone can see it (Youtube is a good start) and the academics who tell you "not to push it" will have to take note as everyone will be asking them questions and querying why they tried to ignore it. Then you can turn to them and say "I told you so!"

I had two articles published previously in Deices, the journal of the Waterford Archaeological and historical society. Suddenly from being "a valuable contribution to the archaeology of the county" I became "too controversial". What happened there? This appears to be the only avenue open to me, but i'll take your advice and go for youtube. Thanks
