Ah well, what about Stonehenge being the product of victors who removed the bluestones from their association with water as an act of desecration and domination? Like the builders of the later Silburys? ;)

BTW don't we have three and a half Wiltshire monumental mounds strongly associated with water, in fact with springs?

Incidentally, did you know Orion sinks behind Marlborough Mound AND Silbury? ;)

The link with the muliple sources of the bluestones and water is tenuous at best ,try to avoid water in these areas , that is what I was discussing , not the presence and association at other sites .

I don't think the usual suspects will go along with the Bluestones being nicked from their watery lairs to the deserts of Amesbury somehow .

It is quite likely that Orion and many other "heavenly bodies " will be seen to sink behind Silbury ,Marlborough mounds etc in what way is it considered salient ?
