Not sure what my ancestry is but I did go and look at 7/4 time, and Brubeck's 'Take Five' a favourite long ago, then there is Strawberry field by the Beatles, so obviously I like asymetrical music ;)
Strawberry Fields isn't too odd a few bars of 2/4 and one of 3/4 . "All you need is Love " is stranger keeps changing from 4/4 to 3/4 in the chorus .Lennon seemed to be the one for the funny time signatures maybe there was some Slavic in that Irish ancestry .
