There's been quite a few disappear aint there, some for obvious reasons, some for reasons we'll never know.
Personally i've had 2 very serious cyber attacks aimed at myself over the last 5 years, both linked to megalithic forums, but i'm a thick skinned bugger.

I also know that one very respected and valuable member here is getting the same treatment i got, right now, and you couldn't meet a nicer fella.

It's crazy isn't it, when all it's supposed to be about is sharing our knowledge and love for our history.

Anyway, i'll carry on adding to the database and trying to help people out on the forum for as long as i think i'm making a useful contribution, though i have considered chucking it all in at times.

Ah well, here's to peace and those long gone. *doffs cap*

Not sure but I believe this particular absence is due to something a bit more serious .

Hi June and Geoff,

Agree with both of your posts. TMA remains an incomparable resource and source of continual inspiration. Gladman, Postie and Cerrig have been almost entirely responsible for my Wales obsession, which over the course of this year has taken up most of my weekends and got me to places I never thought I'd go. That's down to their excellent photos, fieldnotes, etc.

I wasn't here when Greywether was posting, but along with Kammer (and Jane and Moth, who thankfully are still here), their pictures/fieldnotes and I cross paths quite often. It's always a pleasure to read them and also to see what has changed at a site - and what remains the same.

The sniping (and I'm afraid to say, a degree of paranoia in some quarters) on the forum is such a shame, but shouldn't be allowed to take away from the wonderful resource this site is, and the fact it does bring together people with a shared interest who might otherwise have carried on ploughing a seemingly lonely furrow.

Here's to stoneheads everywhere.
