The lens on the S1065 is a 38-190mm (35mm equivalent focal length). 38mm is pretty close to a "standard" lens length, so we hope it's wide enough for you.

Don't knock pink, it's damn useful, you're not likely to lose it if you drop it in the grass!

If you think face detection is a laugh, some cameras now have "pet" mode, the mind is boggling.
