I grew up with a right to roam around the fields around my village. Generally I stay out of sight of people and no ones the wiser. If I do meet anyone I go over and explain what Im up to.

Never had one bad experience or anyone tell me I couldnt visit a site.

Our average dwell time at a simple site is around two hours now, this combined with the two metre red and white striped pole does not really allow for the "stealth" option.

If you are doing most of your roaming in Scotland, then perhaps the right to roam is the reason no-one has been difficult.
