Oo yeah! I'd forgotten that one - I remember seeing an eagle (probly golden) at Bernera. I don't remember it flying particularly low over the loch, but Jane'll remember better.Moth
Yes, very close up sighting of a golden eagle at Clava Cairns and also at Bernara Bridge.

In the winter usually see bramblings on the Ridgeway near Wayland's Smithy. Oh and hares galore, too.

There are some spectacular birds on the lake next the Devil's Quoits - waterfowl of every sort- very good for tufted ducks. Once saw a snow goose there!

I once stumbled across a family of dingos just hanging out in a shady spot near some Aboriginal rock paintings at Uluru (Ayers Rock). That was quite exciting.

When I was doing my site visits in the Peak District I had a female adder slither right in front of my feet while taking pictures at Barbrook V. Managed to get some pics of it then looked it up at home - that's how I know it was a female.

Then at another site (Ladder Hill I think) I had a stoat pop out of a dry stone wall and carefully check me out for a while. Cute lil bugger. Got pics of it too.
