Rhiannon, I'm neither a believer or disbeliever...just not swoony or new agey is all.
..and yet... no one mentioned "magic" till you did Dodge... ;-)

I used to live in Sag Harbor, and in Southampton for a while too. Mostmagical thing was being able to drive with the top down under a full moon in summer. I've forgotten what being warm is... if this snow doesn't go by Tuesday I'm gonna resort to weather magic. There's weather magic, right?

Branwen, I knew there was something about you.....
So, you have lived on Long Island Too !
Sag Harbor, i visited Teddy Roosevelt's Home there. South Hampton and the area, was/is the site of many fishing trips and motorcycle rides on nice summer days.
Perhaps you may know of my described and beloved Pine Barrens too.
My childhood stomping grounds stretched From Medford thru Yaphank {and it's lakes} clear thru to RiverHead. The Carmens River...i knew all the spots in the woods/lakes and streams. Good Place to grow up. Alot of what made it special is getting developed over.
It's nice that you may know where I'm coming from.
Magic? I don't know if i believe in it as much as I'm fascinated by the history of it. Merlin was quite a character.
To read of at least. I've glossed over the Caxton Texts, Mallory, T.H. White, Tennyson and the like in my time. It's half my heritage too.
Regards Branwen
