I love the Lark Ascending, not got it tied to anywhere specific though.

I always think of "Big Louise" by Scott Walker at West Tump.

I hadn't listened to Scott 3 in a long, long time, so I poked it out this evening, left the young lad (intermittently) at his lego, and sat back. I had forgotten how powerful and dense that track is.

I'm beginning to wonder, in fact, if there isn't a better transfer of feeling about a place/site, from a directed, honest, association to a piece of music - allowing, obviously, for differences in taste - than all but the very best writing about the same?
