Oh, having a duh moment. Two miles roughly west and south of Grantully Castle was "The Courthill" marked by a large stone, where legal matters were settled, rents collected, and service rendered. This stone is the Jury Stone of the Court Hill? If it is, I suppose the name dates to the date of the charter setting up the courts, though I suppose an older court might have been held there too.

Same one . yep you imagine it would have been in use prior to the charter .The Parish records for Grantully ,( i'm guessing , could be out by 100 yrs ) wouldn't be much earlier than early 17th C so unlikely to get a mention there as to earlier use but htere might be something in connection with the courts .Interestingly they never picked any cup marked rocks for a Clach a' Mhoid .
