Time Team

Let's not be too critical. It's an archaeology programme for the masses, not for the self-proclaimed "experts". Basically, if it attracts the Sunday evening crowd, and sparks an interest in those otherwise not interested, then that's a good thing. Hence Tonhy Robinson's questions to the archaeologists. It's a programme designed to appeal and attract those who aren't familiar with archaeology, as well as those who already are interested, which, in my opinion, shines through.
In an age of moronic T.V., lets be thankful of programmes like Time Team, and the likes of Life, etc. Thank f*ck there are no celebrities digging. Small mercies etc.

That's pretty spot on! :)

I really enjoy it. You can filter out anything you consider to be nonsense...

I agree, as a matter of personal preference, that more prehistoric stuff would be more interesting.

Of course it's sensationalist and full of wild speculation. It might not be such an interesting programme if it was, say, Phil sat at a watching brief at a building site...

Tony: So! Got anything interesting yet, Phil?
Phil: Yes Tony! We got a baked bean tin, a 10p piece from 1983 and some McDonalds cartons.
Tony: Fantastic! So what you're saying is it looks like a ritual site?
Phil: >sigh< Yes, Tony...

Actually, I think that has legs. If anyone nicks that idea I'll know! ;)
