Does that expose the tradition of a Universal Goddess to be a Myth? If so, it sounds like my kinda a book!

Not 'myth' in that sense at all. It's a wonderful comprehensive study of the Goddess in art, poetry, mythology etc focusing on how the sacred feminine was deliberately and systematically attacked and eventually excluded in the Judeo-Christian expansion, and the repercussions of this. It is an essential book for anyone interested in the Divine Feminine and the importance of an holistic spirtual balance.

That's a strange sort of comment really, it sort of implies that being interested in myths, folklore, and religions may mean you might actually believe it. We all know there is no god; there is no goddess; because we are all powerful humankind who has subjucated the planet to our own needs ... our ancestors, however, showed more respect to the bountiful earth and most of goddess myths were about fertility/harvest/childbirth/rebirth/renewal (seed-sowing).
