Robin Williamson. Utter genius and our national bard, I think. He is an honorary member of the Thr Order Of Druids, Bards and Ovates. Quite right.
He's a genius and a treasure. What do people tend to listen to here ? Sorry for cross threading, I'm just a bit intersted because a lot of my listening could be reflective of this blog in a way.

It's been a long time since last hearing Robin , but "October Song " was a great contemporary folk song .

I recall that Judy Collins sang "The First Girl I Loved" which broke the Incredible String Band in the States, thats pretty good.

i love Sandy Denny, all the Fairport stuff she did and the early stuff she did. im not to keen on the later albums she did, too stringy and polished for me.
i also love all the folk rock stuff around at the same time, early steeleye span, martin carthy stuff like that.
all before my time but all sounds perfect driving round looking for stones.
