Good point. I don't imagine that it'll be too difficult to find out the location.
Also depressing, from an archaeological point of view, that he did so much 'excavation' himself before notifying the authorities:
"Duncan Slarke, finds liaison officer for Staffordshire, was the first professional to see the hoard... ..."I saw boxes full of gold,.."
