It was canny, Stan's bit could have gone on for the whole show as far as I'm concerned :)

The path up Simonside is overdue really, it is a bit intrusive, but when you look on the current satellite images, it's pretty obvious that it needs to be done. Every year the worn bit gets wider, as the sandy subsoil blows away each winter, following the summer's over-treading.
