See for example, Paul Bennett's accounts from the 12 Apostles on The Northern Antiquarian site...

That would be this one?

Interesting to see reports of things emerging from the ground, Hessdalen style.

(But you didn't have a fething camera with you, did you Bennett? Gah!)

This is a more interesting Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (as the Forteans seem to refer to them at the moment), as it's ties closer t the actual site. I think when thinking about things seen at megalithic sites, it's important to consider that the view of the sky at any point covers quite a fair amount of spatial volume. From the top of Simonside in Northumberland for example, I could see lights in the sky that were coming from Newcastle Airport, a fair few miles away. The inverse square law of diminishing returns with light and distance would mean that obviously the further away a luminous UAP is, the less likely you are to be able to perceive it. If that makes sense.

Oh how I love this stuff. Stones and brains and weird stuff. Hoorah.

Btw, Ubik, if you're keen on PD's and PB's Earthlights stuff, have you checked out the Michael Persinger stuff about tectonic stress and temporal lobe/amygdaloid lability? I'll try and find a link. It's Proper Science too. Peer reviewed and everything.

Nowthen Mr Ubik! Nice to hear from thee after such a time. Hope all's well.

All the best - Paul
