Started watching SWS this afternoon - great so far. I stopped at Rudston (the phone rang) and I am really interested in that area so wanted to give it my full attention. Will finish watching later this evening ...

Comments so far: I especially liked the Cornish and Dartmoor bits and the slightly iconaclastic comments about Newgrange (the same really applies to West Kennet Long Barrow and Waylands Smithy).

.... it just got better and better as you travelled north Rupert.

From Rudston to the Langdale Axe Factory, Castlerigg, Long Meg, Kilmartin, Recumbent Stone, Clava Cairns ... to the amazing Callenish and the lunar eclipse. Then on to Orkney - I was there earlier in the year but am afraid I did not have Skara Brae to myself so didn't experience quite the same magic as you but did get completely high at the Ring of Brodgar (metorphorically speaking).

I will recommend the dvd to just about everyone (but they are not having mine).
Thank you! Excellent indeed.

June, very ironic, you will love the land of the gypsy and want to stop there in reality, it'll grab your attention too, it's very like Avebury, there's a stupid road akin to the A4 that runs past it but take a walk down the race and you'll think your walking the Winterbourne path.
The offers still open to accompany you there when you get the time.
Geoff.
