I just checked through a book at home to see if I could find a picture of the frog/woman and noticed a tantalising photo of the fish goddess of Lepinski Vir. What a way to pass the time, eh.

Anyway I just did a search to see if I could get hold of an image online and I see that someone has already made the link (pun intended ;)):

The Goddess of Lepenski Vir is very interesting Mr g - dating from anything between 6,000 and 4,500bce! We tend to notice the more 'dramatic' features of these figurines but take a look at the round and wide open eyes of the GLV and the similarity there to the much later sheelas.
