do you have a photo you could post somewhere? Also, where did you find it and can you tell what kind of stone it is? An idea of scale would be useful too.

I'll sort out a photo later. It's sandstone, flattish (curved bottom) rectangular/oval shape measuring about 10cm x 6cm x 3cm. The markings are a series of concentric lines which roughly match the outline of the stone. Found in Caithness, about 100yds from a severly ruined broch (one of the couple of hundred I've visited, but not put on this site).
