NT are notorious b***ards when it comes to image copyright. I don't know if this has been mentioned in other posts, but they recently ran a photography competition where submitting an image indicated your consent for NT to own the copyright on it!

If you take an image on NT land, they own the copyright, if you take an image outside of NT land, but looking in on it, they still own the copyright.

It would be interesting to see how they would enforce such conditions.

PS: A month of eh! Easy life!

Just to add, I am in contact with The Peak District National Park authority at the moment regarding my book as I had sent John Barnatt (to whom I owe a huge debt of gratitude for his own work in the area) and he was unaware of this new control, so it'll be good to see what they have to say about it and hopefully have them on my side!

Oh, and all being well I shall be at this year's Avebury megameet on Saturday, so hopefully we'll be able to put the world to rights then. I'll be bringing along the book and associated projects for anyone who is interested to take a gander.

Hi Ken -

That's me sorted then! Next excursion to NT-sites, I'm taking pikkies & publishing 'em on TNA. I'll then let them know I've done it, refuse to take 'em off (assuming they tell me to) and see where we go from there. Sue me baby! - sue me!!!
