I suspect the NT & EH are the only ones who might cause you problems. Did you ask it was that emailed you to expand on it?

They might just want their name on it, or if they do want payment it might be a reasonable amount or whatever. Tis shite tho.

F1 racing has the same sorta thing - photos are for private use only, copyright belongs to the lovely Mr Ecclestone's mob....

Yes, I responded to his email, but as he said in his email:

"I need to consult various people before being able to properly respond to you - I'm just about to disappear on holiday, so hope to get back to you in a month or so."

Talk about leaving you hanging on...

Apart from being truly depressed by this entire thread I would add that some churches require photography permits etc for you to take pictures inside. However, they don't usually care what you do with the photos, it's just a way of getting money out of you while you're there.

The last NT property I went inside of (St Michael's Mount some years ago) did not allow photos inside, but this is the first I've heard of problems outside in free to visit properties. I'm not going to let it stop me taking photos of Croft Ambrey or wherever - monuments built over a thousand years ago, NT set up in the 20th century. Let alone natural landscapes like the West Cornish coast. How can they claim copyright over a view?

All property is theft anyway.

And by the way, my house is on Google Earth, where's my money?
