No problem mate, you can have all the info i have, as with all my info it's available to anyone that wants it, just ask.
I need to get back to the area to gather some more info on the stones, get some better pics and do a compass reading, i find it particularly interesting that these 2 stones make up an alignement with the long cist and the Head Stone though not all of them are intervisible.
Most people won't venture on to this part of the moor even if the are hardy enough to visit the long cist as it's off path and means boots full of heather etc, not that it's a barren landscape, the goings pretty easy really for anyone used to walking off the tourist trails, Stanedge pole, Redmires reservoirs etc.
Next week i'm supposed to be leading a walk in the area for some, lets say, interested parties and we'll see what they make of em, someone suggested they are guide stoops but i'm not convinced, with the amount of weathering these stones have yes they may be neolithic / ba stoops but modern, not unless they were robbed from elsewhere but there's so much stone in the area that's unlikely methinks, the army practiced a lot up there but on the other side of the moor, there's lots of evidence of it but not where these sites are.
Get a day return and i'll pick thee up from't station and tha can have a butchers at em wi me, i'm waiting for a reply from Stubob to set a day, there's quite a lot up there that's not on any site that i know of, you've just got to see the hidden ******* that very few people know about, think WKLB crossed with woof cave, all shall be revealed when i've collected the info. ; )
