There's no listing for these two standing stones that i can find which stand between the Ash Cabin long cist and the Head stone.
Both are larger than the nearby standing stone by Ash cabin flat stone circle and both have a considerable amount of weathering to the tops.
The two stones are also on higher ground than any of the recognised sites in the area
They're both on the high point of Reddicar clough / New Hagg and easily visible if your walking the area off the main path
Should they be added to the site.?
Advice please.

The Head stone is easily visible about 300 metres distant over the top of this stone but this pic is so crap you can't make it out, it does show the weathering though.

that's a long way inland to see such a big shark.

Hi Mega!

Can y' gimme the OS grid-refs for these? If you're wanting to keep 'em quiet until you've done further research, no worries. Feel free to PM me if needs be. I've got some old records on burials from the area.

Cheers - Paul

Hi Megadread,

The first one looks like a contender, not so sure about the second. Why not post them both under one site?

Thanks,

TMA Ed
