Nice. Apparently that means you're allowed to sneer at people in Hilleberg Aktos ;)

Hey SL, never mind that Gelert thingy, I know some one who bought one and it ripped to bits. If you want small and cheerful and aren't upset by orange, Argos are doing their snazzy wee 2 man job for £25. It's a cracker, my mate has one.

Ah, the laser / akto comparison arguement, i've spent many a long night going over that one.
My fav tent is the Quechua t2 ultralight pro from Decathlon as long as i'm not on a multi day hike, got mine in the sale for a stupidly ridiculous 50 quid too.
I've also got the worlds lightest gelert solo as i replaced the poles for home made ali ones, jeez, i'm a camping bore. :)

Yes, I've had one of those Argus ones. I'll post you a picture of what 'little Stephen' did to it with his grandad's knife - allegedly. I'm exploring the world of quantum phenomena, which is what the art world calls Objets Trouvees. With the accent in the right place, obviously. So the question in my world would rather be not what's the best tent you can buy but what's the best tent you can find. At present it's a monoskin festival tent. I've not slept in it yet but I have found that the Wrights summer service is running - it must have started today. Also I have a DPM woodland sleeping bag on eBay right now. It has a bid, but only for 99p. It's a winter bag and looks ex-army.
