My Summer Solstice report is now available from my events page link above. For the first time I've been able to capture the sunset behind Stony Littleton long barrow, after previously witnessing the mid-winter sunrise shining in the doorway. I also captured the sunrise viewed from Glastonbury Tor and I attended two events at Avebury and two private events at Stonehenge. Careful planning meant I was able to miss most of the chaos that surrounds this time of year.

Since the last notification the Beltane report was updated with a Glastonbury White Spring event and additional Glastonbury Tor photos. I did a talk about memory improvement & bardic performances as a druid at Learning at Work Day 2009. I attended the open day for the Combe Down rail tunnel in Bath. And I was interviewed on Shamanic Freedom Radio. All of these reports are obtainable from the same link.

Best wishes,

Matthew

Marvellous photos, that is strange the sun setting behind Stoney Littleton barrow, not sure what that means.

As for the Bladud pigs, forgotton about those, puts all these people on TMA chasing Bronze age pigs round Avebury and Stanton Drew noses out, Bath of course has the best pigs ;) ...

Hi Matthew

Sorry I missed your 80-line, pun-filled poem at the Free and Open Gorsedd of Caer Abiri, on Saturday 20 Jun 2009. I arrived just as you were finishing.

I did manage to capture some of the event on video though and this has been posted up to my channel on UTube, http://www.youtube.com/user/chippychance

See film of Robyn y Glas and his new Summer Solstice chant, entitled "Solstice 09 - Bardic Chant" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6Z9yWv8qr0 .

There is also footage of Terry talking about the Avebury Summer Solstice phenomena and the sun spot activity on the Cove Stones, followed by Willth and the special visitor from the East, who performing his mantra-based Solstice blessing, entitled "Solstice 09 - The Druid & The Mystic" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UF7fLWdvxg .

Will try to be more organized at Lammas
