Ramblings

Early morning programme; this episode a couple of balladeers wandering across England over Salisbury Plain, ending up at WKLB, (and singing inside) and Avebury, living off the hospitality of the villages they went through - singing for their supper.

"They live outdoors, travel on foot and get right to the soul of the land"

Excellent little prog!

A few little inaccuracies about Avebury but those can be forgiven as it was such a pleasure to listen to two fellas so enthused with their pilgrimage.

Coincidentally, The Guardian (and Observer today) are doing a series on Great British Walks in which, "Over the next seven days, we'll take you to stone circles in Cumbria..." Wednesday's issue is called, Lost worlds and legends so that's probably the one that'll feature circles.
