Being a cautious chap, I'd only wager my spare foreign change on a fake. I just wondered whether someone had cleaned the rock with a wire brush to photograph it, i.e. to show it up from the background. I was at Copt How again in Great Langdale a couple of months ago, and the winter damp stuff had made the rock art invisible.
