See what you mean, looks like a strong westerly wind has blown a load of them into the North Sea. Either that or TMA is now covering artifact find sites in Doggerland.
I don't know if the eds are still maintaining the map browser or not but they're probably relaxing with their feet up today so you may have to wait to get the issue resolved.

Not 100% sure but seem to remember it may be something to do with the old technology not being able to cope with more than 6-digit OS references. Or summat. :)

I don't think it's a big concern for the Eds as it's probably just us 3 that use it nowadays! My cranky old PC at home can't deal with Google Earth, the poor thing...

I just use the inline maps now! Unless I'm at work. When I erm... Don't look at this site at all honest guv cos I'm working innit? ;)
