Hi tjj - glad you like the blogs. They take me ages to do, so it's good to see someone actually reads them. I welcome all comments and questions - especially nice encouraging stuff like yours!

Nick's playing Oxford on Saturday and of course we'll be there. In fact we're taking the whole family. Were you at the Swindon gig? My kids went to that one and they said it rocked.

Yes Jane, I saw him in Swindon at the Vic, a large contingent of the audience seemed to be Nick's mates and there was a lot of banter going to and fro. At one point he talked about his Mum and sang the song Imaginary Friend for her, which I found quite moving. I understood completely why you are such an avid follower - he mixes passion with wit and plays the guitar like I have never seen it played before. Someone told me his guitar is specially strung with piano wires but he still managed to break one before the end of the evening.

I had a look at his website Harperspace the next day and he wrote this about the gig on his blog;

Tour kicks off in Swindon!

Probably not the only thing to kick off in Swine town last night but tucked away in old town was the first gig of the 38 tour proper and it was a good un. The Vic hosted some wierd and wonderful Wiltshire types and a few friendly faces from further afield.. I was a bit 'out there' which helped with the banter and set list - a few surprises for all of us! It's a good atmosphere in that room and It's great to be able to relax totally and make it up as we go - no slick pre-planned show just a night out and a laugh or two. Roll on the rest of the gigs if this is a pointer..
