Cartimandua, queen of the Brigantes relocated her headquarters from Barwick in Elmet to Mam Tor.

Mam Tor - Mothers Mountain?

Cartimandua as queen of the tribe who worshiped the Godess Brigantia will have had a near goddess herself, so the link with Mam Tor is interesting.
