...On a similar note, you may remember back in the 70's the BBC ran one of the early "reality" shows in which some families lived an Iron Age lifestyle for a year. They are going to show a new prog in which we catch up with the participants and hear how they feel about the experience after all these years. Could be interesting.

Thanks, I enjoyed it immensely. Also, as Wiggy says, last night's (20th May) BBC programme revisiting the BBC reality Iron Age programme from 1978, which I saw as a young teenager first time round, was also very good.
My interests are usually confined to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, with a bit of early Iron Age thrown in. However, having read Francis Prior's "Britain BC", and having seen a few recent Iron Age programmes, I'm now finding that I want to know more about the later Iron Age.
At last the telly is proving to be worth watching.
