Why don't you do a degree in Archaeology? Then you could wave bits of paper/letters after your name back at those who would wave them at you.

If nothing else, think of the fun you could have whilst doing the course.

(Of course I know you'll not be keen on the idea, I just thought I would be polite to ask)

Well, I've no interest and how many degrees does a person need? By now I should be accumulating honorary certificates. I did have a teacher, kind of, and we exchanged skills, he found masonry, I found archaeology. Teaching post-graduate and doctoral students something practical. Met a few people in the woods - that kind of thing. Like Clive Waddington who was looking for a phosphate result from his ancient cattle mart. Go and have a look at our walkway - it should still be there. Behind the first and last, on the Jedburgh road. And the pond.
