A bit pricy but might appeal to some with limited time and a bit of dosh. Advertised in yesterday's Guardian are three stony holidays -

An Archaeologist's View of Orkney and Shetland Six days from £745 and including Maeshowe, Skara Brae etc. July & September 2008.

An Archaeologist's View of Ireland Five days from £485 which includes megaliths, monasteries and tombs. May & September 2008.

The Ancient Stones of the Outer Hebrides Five days from £525 including Callanish, Neolithic cairns etc. May & August 2008

No details on how you get to these places or where you'll be staying but the organiser's email address is the [email protected]

Unfortunately in the tourist season unless you book in advance, which I'm sure the organisers will have (but check), the limited numbers admitted to Maeshow means there is no guaranteed entry.
