I thought pagan meant " country dweller", they obviously don't dwell in the country or give much of a toss about it.

They don't sound like the sort of Pagans that I know. Most of them would have been clearing rubbish from round Wayland's Smithy rather than leaving it - and in fact one local group does this regularly. Just cos this bunch of twats said they were Pagan doesn't mean anyone has to believe them.
