I presume you started with the google earth file. Of course, many of these are only accurate to 100m, so still may not be all that useful for small rock art panels etc.

Actually, I started with the Garmin MapSource software and I have the locations of all the brochs accurate to 10 digit NGR - from a combination of CANMORE records and the locations saved in my handheld GPS from the ones (150 or so) that I've visited. My technique should work for absolutely anything that I can obtain an NGR or coordinates for.
