As recent poster of the 'Standing with Stones' DVD thread, I am sorry if I have offended your idea of how contributors should restrict themselves. I did not do it unthinkingly, but on balance reasoned that the DVD itself would be of immense interest to most folk here and that although I have not contributed to the forum in the past, that the content of the DVD itself would be a contribution to those who saw it. Obviously we are keen to sell the DVD and to recoup the investment in time and money we have made, but neither myself, nor my partner in crime Rupert, are outsiders who have come in and pillaged the subject simply as a revenue generator. We are both enthusiasts that have long been visiting TMA and that reckoned that such a project was long overdue and who were just lucky enough to have the time, the equipment, experience and enough loopiness to believe we could pull it off.

I hope this somewhat eases your discomfort at the nature of the SWS posting at least. For what it's worth, both Rupert and I are keen to be around as contributors and to answer questions that the film may provoke.

I'm not sure anyone else has any problem with the way you and Rupert have contributed so far, Michael! Going by the responses on this thread, Tomwatts seems to be a lone voice on the issue. Perhaps he was joking.

Like you I was a regular visitor to TMA before I became active on the forum (and in posting sites, photos, fieldnotes etc). Perhaps Tomwatts is the same, too. I've certainly only noticed his name on the forum fairly recently, tho I could be wrong. I can't see him on the 'Contributors' list.

As far as I'm concerned (& I get the impression, most others) you & Rupert are more than welcome, and many of us seem extremely glad you brought your DVD to our attention, and made it in the first place.

love
