Now I'm beginning to get it :-) Thanks Paulus. That sounds great.

Verbose,- yes, I'm afraid so. My finely tuned bullshit antenna immediately switch my brain into 'alert' mode when I read words like 'paradigm', 'psychography' and this is frustrating when you actually DO want to know what the writer is talking about.

Many thanks

There's nothing really about "automatic writing" in the book, but strictly speaking Paulus was pretty accurate. You got the "psychography" bit by breaking it down to something like "a descriptive science of the mind" (not a "writing of the mind"). There's a lot about using ancient relics (esp. rock art) as points of departure for guessing what the structures of the archaic mind are. And this leads straight into the "shamanic paradigm"; a framework for understanding the world that draws from enthnographic understanding of how shamans model the world.

Plenty of cans of worms there, and I certainly don't seal them up again once I've opened them!
