I lived in Malta for six months, sure it isnt the prettiest of places..but there is some wonderful places to see.
Transport by bus is cheap, and gets you everywhere.
Car hire is available on every street, usually a suzuki LWB but others are available.
Accomodation depends on your wallet and how willing you are to part with it, lol!..you can go cheap or not so..
The people are friendly.

Just dont let the touts flog you a timeshare...like flies round shit they are to tourists, lol..
