Hi Jane,

Not sure if you will remember me, I met you briefly in the Red Lion back in May. I discovered your web-site through the Megalithicpoems blog and love reading it (especially the posts on Van Gogh - and more recently the seals at Maplethorpe. I know that coast-line well, some drive to do in a day).

You probably already know:- Nick Harper is playing at the Victoria pub in Swindon on Tuesday 20th November, also a lovely interview with him in the Swindon Advertizer on 15th Nov. I hope to make it along.

Apologies in advance to TMA Ed for any misuse of Forum (won't make a habit of it).

Best wishes

Hi june j

Yes of course I remember you, June, and glad to know someone out there is reading - and enjoying! - my blog :-)

We do indeed know about Nick Harper at the Vic in Swindon on Tuesday and I will be there with Moth and my son, Rupe. Nick is playing Oxford tonight and I am dragging half my family and some friends along, too, to share his wondrousness with them. We're also going to see him play London next week, too. *big fans!*

I'm sure the Eds won't mind us conversing this way ... just this once, especially as Harpic is virtually a neighbour of Julian's!

Harpically excited!

(I saw the article in the Swindon paper, too, a very good write-up!)

OFF TOPIC.............

I'd like to get to the bottom of the claim by Nick's dad (Roy), that his dad (Nick's grandfather), single handedly bowled out the entire Lancashire cricket team (10 wickets) in a match. I know the family have always been cricket mad.

Just a bit of fun.
