Books -

Stig of the Dump by Clive King (i vaguely recall a childrens TV version too).

Also "The Boy With The Bronze Axe" by Kathleen Fidler was a book I read as a child and seem to remember enjoying very much. Set in Scara Brae.

Oooh, I loved Stig of The Dump as a nipper. I think it was also a TV drama possibly around the late 1970s?

Children of the Stones - not set in the Neolithihc but based in Avebury and scared the living daylights out of me when it was shown in aorund 1976. I recently bought it on DVD and it is utter claptrap but some nice landscape shots!
