I'm not sure if anyone will be interested (apologies if not), but I recently blogged about the Squid Family holiday in Cornwall. We visited a number of sites, and I've put a few photos on the blog.

Of interest to some may be my weird experience at the Boleigh fogou.

Nice. I especially like Pebblewen Un, good to see its not just me that makes miniature sites on the beach. I am particularly fond of making henges, last one was about 2-3 metres across :)

Sounds like a run-in with the pixies? If it ever happens again, the traditional cure for being pixy-led is to turn your coat / jumper inside out. Funnily enough I was just thinking about this last night (can't remember why). Looks like you had lovely weather, etc. and had a relaxing time, v nice.

I think other peoples blogs are fascinating ;) on my weaving group, someone blogs from the Fair Isles about her smallholding - she's going in for raising pure breed shetlands, because randy roman-nosed (english) rams (longer legs mean they can jump walls) have besmirched the honour of shetland ewes - now where else would you learn that fact...

As for being disorientated, woods always do that for me, probably because I don't know where the sun is, and also Whitby being on the east coast, therefore if the sea is on my right I'm facing north, yet in Wales on the coast its the opposite...

Glad you enjoyed your stay down here Mr Squid...unlike many this year you had decent weather...

Just got back from Chysaucester and Lanyon Quoit...tyring to explain the reason behind fogous to a bunch of Americans!
