My TK MAXX Bargain

close

I'm probably about to put the cat among the pidgeons here, but earlier today, whilst shopping for cheapo school clobber for the Calamity Kids, I found myself perusing the books in TK Maxx and stumbled across a lovely, large book called MEGALITHS, published byJohnathon Cape.

It's a collection of arty black & white shots by former Face Magazine photographer David Corio, with words by his Channel Four writer wife, Lai Ngan Corio.

It's probably been mentioned here in threads before. And, for all I know, given a right royal slagging. But my first dip into it has proved rather enlightening. And I do like those large, lush shots.

I just thought I'd mention it, in case any other branches of the discount clothes shop are carrying any, elsewhere in the UK - and you find yourself bored and distracted whilst a partner is trying to squeeze into something, behind the curtains.

Whilst we're mentioning stuff...

'The Works' chain of bookstores are selling 'The Megalithic European' for £4:99 at the mo'... Bargain!

I got mine today in Leeds. It was the last one on the shelves...

You're allowed to do that in TKMaxx?
I must frequent these stores more often...

:-p

'tis a nice tome. Got mine a couple of years ago as a present. Cost over £30 originally I believe.

I didn't know TK Maxx sold books - must have a potter about in there next time I'm passing...

It's a great book, isn't it? Some wonderful photos there... Bit of a coffee-table book - in the sense that it's so big you could put a leg in each corner and use it as one! ;o)

Just out of sheer nosiness - how much was it? :o)
