I have no interest in leylines, 'spirituality' or other new age mumbo jumbo except as a curiosity - like Rhiannon's folklore links - which tell us something about the impact of the monuments on the people using and living with them (and the inherent gullibility of the human mind!) My colours are nailed firmly on the mast of rationality, logic, reason and science.
I too am extremely sceptical when it comes to new-age theories, but it does sadden me to see other peoples' beliefs unnecessarily belittled and devalued as "gullible" and "mumbo-jumbo". What point does such language serve other than to alienate, divide and inflame?

I may be a sceptic, but whether I agree with their conclusions or not, I've seen people write in an eloquent, intelligent and rational fashion about subjects such as ley lines and dowsing. A little respect for those with divergent opinions really wouldn't hurt.

Couldn't agree more. A little leg pulling is fine and makes for a good and fun discussion, but like religion, we should always respect each others opinions. We don't have to believe or accept what we hear but we may learn something if we bother to listen.
