ley lines much more powerfull than the national grid check out the book Needles of Stone Tom Graves or Stone Circles of the Peak chapter 9 and apendix c. How do you think sites miles apart are in absolute alignment?. Pulses of power that divination devices can pick up!! an art that we have lost over the years because of medling by the Church in order to gain POWER CONTROL over the masses. Why do you think they detroyed stone circles? why did they build on their sites, why did the Romans build their roads and forts on these ancient sites. I could go on and on but whats the point.

How do you think sites miles apart are in absolute alignment?

Are you saying some that aren't visible from each other are in absolute alignment? If so can you say which, and how absolute is absolute?

(I'll confess up front I don't believe in leylines in terms of "energies" and don't intend to get involved in discussing them but I'd be interested to know if there are any genuinely accurate alignments of 3 or more prehistoric sites that don't have direct line-of-sight explanations, as there are possible explanations for those that someone like me might accept).

[edit: changed me mind - don't care any more ;o) ]

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. As I get older I get increasingly cynical about these things though. For example - what form does this energy take? Is it electromagnetic in nature? If so, how come it is still undetectable by proper scientific means? If not, what is the nature of it?

I will admit that science does not have the answers to everything, but until there is some physical evidence for this, it is merely suposition, or worse, superstition.

There's no point. It's all unproven mumbo jumbo.
